Argentinean folk singer/songwriter Horacio Banegas began his career while forming a duet called Los Banegas with his brother in 1965, joining Las Tobas in 1972 and working along with Alfredo Abalos, Sixto Palavecino, and Eduardo Avilar.
In 1989, the artist achieved one of his major projects while recording La Misa Santiaguera, teaming up with Los Sin Nombre, Elpidio Herrera, and Orígenes. A year later, Horacio Banegas gave the first performance of a musical called Mi Origen y Mi Lugar, the name of his first solo album, followed by 1992's Pertenezco a Este Mundo and 1994's Sintaxis. ~ Drago Bonacich
